II. How to create a sequence

SEQUENCE BASICS

1. What is a Sequence? How is it related to a Package and an Asset?

A Sequence has 6 asset categories including Autoflow, Resource Collection, Studio Program, Forum, Program, or Workout Collection.

To gain access to the Sequence, the user must have the Payment & Package add-on added to their workspace.

Assets include all the feature's programs and resources that have permission to be used in the workspace. For example, if you have permission to use the Autoflow feature, all Autoflows on the page are assets.

A Package consists of a Sequence and all its combined assets. Packages enable you to collect money directly on Everfit! 💰 See what you can create with Packages here.

2. What can you build with a Sequence?

Once the client has purchased a Package, they’ll be automatically assigned their assets straight away.

And with powerful automation in just a few clicks, you can effortlessly:

  • Onboard clients and schedule workouts, tasks and messages.

  • Share on-demand content including documents, files and links.

  • Create multi-week workout templates and client-managed training programs.

  • Set up private groups to share content and resources.

3. What can clients expect?

All of the sequence's assets will be automatically assigned once your client activates a package. All assets will be removed from a client at the sequence's expiration date.

HOW TO CREATE A SEQUENCE

You’ve set up your package, and you’re ready to add a new sequence into it. So let’s explore exactly how to create your sequence.

Navigation

  • On your Sequence page (https://app.everfit.io/home/sequences), click on the purple “Create New Sequence” button and name your sequence to begin.

Step 1: Add Sequence Information

Next, you can update the details of your sequence. You’ll have options to change:

  1. Cover image: Click ‘Edit’ to upload your own image. Make sure it’s relevant to the sequence and captures the client's attention.

  2. Sequence name: Click to rename. Don’t worry, you’ll have the option to change this again later. Your client will not see the sequence name.

  3. Sequence description: Include a description to provide more information on your sequence offering.

Activate clients on

You can choose when clients can activate the sequence by clicking on the ‘Activate sequence on’ box. You can either set this up for when a client activates their purchase, or assign it to the Monday following activation.

How long clients can access

You can choose how long your clients can gain access to the sequence by clicking on the ‘How long to provide access’ box and selecting a duration.

You have the option to provide access indefinitely, or you can select a time period between 1 week and 12 months. After this duration, the client will no longer be able to access the sequence.

There’s also an option that you can enable to archive clients after the access period.

Step 2: Add Assets

Once you’ve completed the sequence’s details, it’s time to add your assets. (Assets include all the feature's programs and resources that have permission to be used in the workspace).

Add the first asset

Choose your first asset from the table to get started.

You can change the asset type from the drop-down list.

After choosing the asset type, from the search bar, you can select your pre-set assets from your library.

Add a new asset

Simply click the purple “Add New Asset” button to select additional assets you want to include in your sequence.

You can select unlimited assets for “Studio Program”, “Forum”, and “Program”. However, you can only select one “Autoflow” to one sequence at a time, or up to 5 “Resource Collections”.

Different asset types

There are 6 asset types. These include:

1. Autoflow:

Automated schedule of workouts, tasks, and messages. You can only add one Autoflow to one sequence at a time. Read more.

Note: Only active Autoflows can be searched and added to the sequence.

2. Resources & Collections:

On-demand content hub for documents, files, and links. You can add up to 10 collections to a sequence. Read more.

3. Studio Program:

On-demand training program that clients can start, stop and resume anytime they want. Read more.

Note: Only published Studio Programs can be searched and added to the sequence.

4. Forum

Private group for content sharing and resources. Read more.

5. Program

Multi-week workout program template. Read more.

6. Workout Collection

On-demand training content portal that your clients can access anytime, anywhere. Read more.

Step 3: How to publish or edit your sequence

When you’ve finished selecting your chosen assets, click “Save Draft” on the top right corner of the page.

From there, you can choose to either publish, edit, duplicate, archive or delete your sequence.

Publishing and what to know

In order to publish a sequence, you’ll need to fill in the sequence name and at least one valid asset. Only published sequences can be added to a package.

Once the sequence has been added to your package and it’s been purchased, you’ll no longer be able to edit it. However, you can still create a duplicate.

Sequence status and what it means

In the Payment tab, click on Sequences and you’ll be able to see whether your sequences are published, drafted or archived.

A published sequence means it's ready to be used in a package and will automatically assign its assets when purchased by a client.

A draft is a work in progress sequence for when you still need to make changes.

Archived means the sequence is no longer in use and will not function in the package it has been added to. If you would like to use the sequence again, just unarchive it, and it will be active for future purchases made.

What happens when you delete or edit an asset inside a sequence?

When you delete an asset inside a sequence, it will be labeled as "Deleted" and the asset won't be assigned when a client activates the package with that sequence's asset.

When you edit an asset that has been assigned to a sequence, you will be notified that the changes will affect any sequence it is in. This is to caution you from changing assets that you or another coach may have set up for automated delivery to clients. But you are welcome to proceed with changes as well.
