Steps Tracking integrates data from Apple Health, Fitbit, Google Fit, Health Connect, or Garmin and shows you visual reports of your clients' daily, weekly, and monthly steps.
Now, you can set daily step targets for your clients and easily create fun Steps Tracking Challenges when combining this feature with our Leaderboard and Forum features.
Our Steps Tracking is automatic. However, if you'd like to allow your clients to track manually, you can create a custom metric.
How to turn on Automatic Steps Tracking for your clients?
Go to a client's Metrics Tab > Manage Metrics, then make sure to checkmark Steps (Automatic)
What does step tracking look like in the Client App?

For Apple Watch users, ensure the watch is successfully syncing to Apple Health first. Then, your clients will be able to see their daily Steps Tracking on their Everfit Home Screen.
For Android users, ensure your client app is integrated with Google Fit or Health Connect as alternatives to Apple Health for seamless syncing.
Clicking on the Steps Tracker, your clients can easily see visual reports of their Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Steps progress.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't Everfit counting my steps from my smartwatch?
Everfit does not sync directly with any smartwatches. Steps from your watch must sync with a compatible app first, and then we can pull over the data.
Why isn't Everfit syncing my client's steps?
Ensure your client's account has the "Steps (Automatic)" metric enabled.
Check that the client's device and app connections are active and functioning correctly.
Why can't I sync steps with MyFitnessPal?
Everfit does not support step syncing from MyFitnessPal and only syncs food-related data. Use Apple Health, Fitbit, or Garmin to sync steps instead.
Troubleshooting Steps Tracking Issues
If you or your clients are experiencing issues with steps not syncing to Everfit, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Verify App Connections
Confirm that the Everfit account is connected to a supported app (Apple Health, Fitbit, Google Fit, or Garmin).
For Apple users, ensure the Apple Watch is successfully syncing steps to the Apple Health app.
Check Device and App Settings
Verify that step data is being recorded by the connected app.
Ensure necessary permissions for step tracking are granted to Everfit and the connected third-party app.
Reconnect Applications
Unlink and then re-link your account in Everfit to reset the connection and ensure proper syncing.
For Persistent Issues
If steps still fail to sync, capture screenshots of the step data recorded in the connected third-party app and contact Everfit support for assistance.
