Auto-Regenerate Meal Plans allows you to automatically generate updated AI meal plans for your clients based on their Nutrition Check-in Form responses and changes to their nutrition data.
When enabled, the system reviews each client's information on a scheduled basis and either generates a new meal plan or extends the existing one.
How It Works
Auto-Regenerate runs on a fixed schedule:
The system checks for updates on your selected generate day (Monday–Sunday).
It looks for:
New Nutrition Check-in Form submissions
Changes to nutrition-related client data
If updates are detected, a new meal plan is generated.
The new plan always starts on the Monday of the following week.
The plan remains active for the selected regeneration frequency (1–4 weeks) before being reviewed again.
Enable Auto-Regenerate for a Client
To enable Auto-Regenerate:
Navigate to Client > Meal Plan > Meal Plan Settings.
Toggle Auto-Generate Meal Plan on.
Configure the following settings:
Regeneration Frequency
Choose how often the system should review the client's information and generate a new meal plan:
Choose every 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks.
For example, if you select Every 2 Weeks, the system will automatically review the client's latest data and generate a new meal plan every 2 weeks
Generate Day
Select the day of the week (Monday–Sunday) when the system should review the client's data and generate a new plan.
Note: Regardless of the generate day selected, all newly generated meal plans begin on the Monday of the following week.
Example
Generate day: Saturday
Client submits a Nutrition Check-in Form: Friday
System reviews and generates a new plan: Saturday
New meal plan becomes active: Monday of the following week
You can manage the Auto Re-Generate setting from either the Meal Generation screen or the Client Settings page.
Any changes made in one place will automatically sync and update in the other, so the settings always stay consistent.
Set Default Auto-Regenerate Settings
You can configure Auto-Regenerate settings in your Default Client Settings so that all newly added clients inherit the same configuration automatically.
Create a Nutrition Check-in Form
Auto-Regenerate works with Nutrition Check-in Forms.
To create one:
Open your Forms Library.
Click Add New Form.
Select Nutrition Check-in Form.
Click Add.
The form includes 10 pre-built questions designed to support meal plan generation.
Locked Questions
Some questions are required for meal plan generation and cannot be modified. Only the description field can be edited.
Meal Preference Question
Question 9 allows clients to choose how their next meal plan should be generated:
Use Meals From This Week: The system reuses meals from the client's current meal plan whenever possible and replaces only meals that conflict with updated preferences.
Use My Saved Meals: The system uses the client's saved meals as a foundation and fills remaining meal slots with new recipes.
Start Fresh: The system generates an entirely new meal plan based on the client's latest information and preferences.
Custom Questions
You may edit the remaining questions and add additional questions as needed.
Important: If you duplicate a Nutrition Check-in Form after it has been created, the duplicated version becomes a standard custom form. It will not retain the AI meal generation functionality and cannot trigger Auto-Regenerate.
Assign a Nutrition Check-in Form
You can assign:
The Nutrition Check-in Form template, or
A custom form labeled AI-GEN MEAL PLAN
Note: Nutrition Check-in Forms only trigger meal plan generation when Auto-Regenerate is enabled for the client.
What Triggers a New Meal Plan?
On the scheduled generate day, the system checks whether any of the following have changed since the last meal plan generation:
Macro goals
Meal categories
Dietary information
Macro goal generation settings
Recipe sources
Nutrition Check-in Form responses
If Changes Are Detected
A new meal plan is generated for the upcoming cycle.
If No Changes Are Detected
The client's current meal plan is extended for the next cycle without generating new meals.
When Auto-Regenerate Will Be Skipped
If a manually assigned meal plan already exists within the upcoming regeneration period, Auto-Regenerate will not overwrite it.
Instead, the system skips that cycle and waits until the next scheduled review.
Client Experience
When clients receive a Nutrition Check-in Form, they can complete it directly from their account.
After submission, they will see a confirmation message indicating that a new meal plan is being prepared.
Once generated, the meal plan will automatically appear in their account when it becomes active.
Best Practice
If you want a new meal plan to begin during a specific week, assign the Nutrition Check-in Form at least one week in advance. This gives clients time to complete the form and allows the system to generate the updated meal plan before the desired start date.
