How to set up Triggers on Onboarding Flow

Set up Triggers to assign Programs

  1. Add forms with single-choice questions in the Onboarding Forms.

  2. Click on the program box under Assignments and choose the "Assign using Trigger" option.

  3. In the "Set up Program Trigger" pop-up, select the forms where triggers are allowed. You can choose from the two onboarding forms added in step 1.

  4. After selecting a form, the first question and its options will be shown for setup. You can switch to another question if desired.

Only one question can be designated as a trigger to assign programs for each Onboarding Flow.

  5. Choose the program you wish to assign for each answer, then click the "Create" button.

  6. The trigger question will appear in the box.

Set up a Trigger to assign Forums

You can follow the same steps to configure triggers for forum assignments.

How to edit triggers

  1. Click the "Edit" button to open the "Set up Trigger" pop-up and adjust your trigger settings.

  2. In this popup, you can modify the form, question, or assigned programs/forums.

  3. Click the "Update" button to save your changes.

How to remove triggers

  1. Click the "Edit" button to access the trigger setup.

  2. Select "Remove Trigger" and confirm the deletion.

How Triggers display on Forms & Questionnaires

On the Form creation page, when a trigger is selected for a question, it will be labeled with a "Trigger Applied" tag. The Onboarding Flow associated with that question will also be specified.

Confirming changes affecting Triggers

Any actions affecting a trigger will prompt a confirmation warning. These actions may include deleting a question used as a trigger, deleting the options of that question, removing the assigned program as a trigger, and so on.

For instance, if you delete a question used as a trigger, a warning pop-up will appear for confirmation. After typing "Confirm," the question and its associated trigger in the Onboarding Flow will be deleted.

What happens on the client's side after triggers are set up

When clients complete the Onboarding Form with questions that have triggers set up, associated programs or forums will automatically be assigned to them based on their answers.
