When a client purchases a recurring package that includes a Sequence, the Sequence assigns a set of assets to the client. The Remove Sequences setting determines whether those assets are removed when the client’s subscription ends.
Set up Remove Sequences
Go to Packages, open a recurring package, and select the Settings tab.
Under Cancellations, find Remove Sequences.
Under On cancellation, turn the toggle on to remove Sequence-assigned assets when a client cancels their subscription. Turn it off to let the client keep them.
Under On expiration, turn the toggle on to remove Sequence-assigned assets when a subscription expires. Turn it off to let the client keep them.
Click Save.
Important: Saving this setting takes effect for every subscription on the package, including subscriptions that are already active. It is not a new-purchases-only setting. For example, turning On cancellation on today will also affect clients who purchased the package months ago.
Default settings for new packages
For newly created recurring packages:
On cancellation: On by default
On expiration: Off by default
How Remove Sequences works
Keep the following rules in mind:
The setting at the time the subscription ends determines what happens. It does not matter what the setting was when the client purchased the package. For example, if it was off when they purchased but is on when their subscription ends, the assets will be removed.
Only Sequence-assigned assets are removed. Assets that were assigned manually outside of the Sequence are not affected.
Assets are kept if the client has another active subscription to the same Sequence. Removal only occurs when the client’s last entitlement to that Sequence ends.
Coach-initiated cancellations work differently. When a coach manually cancels a subscription, a confirmation window will ask whether they want to remove the Sequence from the client. The coach can decide at that time.
Archived clients: If a client is archived at the end of their subscription, all assets except the forum will be removed from the client, regardless of the Remove Sequences settings.
Note: Remove Sequences applies to all subscriptions on the package, including existing active subscriptions. This differs from client self-cancellation settings, which apply only to new purchases.
