The Program Master Planner brings you an intuitive, all-in-one weekly, daily, and custom view of training programs. Designed to streamline workflows, it allows coaches to effortlessly update entire workout plans in one place.

With its time-saving features and enhanced program management capabilities, it’s a game-changer for delivering a seamless coaching experience.


How to enable the Master Planner view

  • Draft/Unpublished Programs: The Master Planner button appears right away in the calendar view.

  • Published Programs: The Master Planner button is only shown when the program is in Editing mode.

  • Applying Updates: After making changes in Master Planner, select Publish Changes to apply updates to clients.


The Master Planner provides three viewing modes:

  • Week-by-Week View: Displays workouts grouped by weeks.

  • Day-by-Day View: Displays workouts for a selected week by day.

  • Custom View: Displays only selected workouts.

Enabling Week-by-Week or Day-by-Day View

  1. Open a Studio Program and navigate to the Calendar tab.

  2. Click the Master Planner button.

  3. The Master Planner will open in Week-by-Week View by default.

  4. Users can switch to Day-by-Day View.

Enabling Custom View

  1. Open a Studio Program and navigate to the Calendar tab.

  2. Select workouts by checking the corresponding checkboxes.

  3. Click the Master Planner button.

  4. The Master Planner will open in Custom View.


View Options

Week-by-Week View

  • Displays the same day across multiple weeks (e.g., Week 1 Day 1, Week 2 Day 1, Week 3 Day 1…).

  • Scroll horizontally to browse through additional weeks.

  • Select a specific day to display all workouts using the dropdown.

  • If a day has multiple workouts, the number of workouts appears in the header.

  • Scroll through days to view all included workouts.

Day-by-Day View

  • Displays all days of a single week (e.g., Week 1 Day 1, Week 1 Day 2, Week 1 Day 3…).

  • Select a specific week using the dropdown.

  • If a day has multiple workouts, the number of workouts appears in the header.

  • Scroll through days to view all included workouts.

Custom View

  • Displays only selected workouts, e.g., Week 1 Day 1, Week 1 Day 3, Week 2 Day 1…

  • Scroll horizontally to browse through additional weeks.

  • If a day has multiple workouts, the number of workouts appears in the header.

  • Scroll through the days to view all included workouts.


Key Actions

  • Add New Workout - Add a new workout to a day

  • View Workout Details - Open a modal with workout details.

  • Save Workout to Library - Save a workout for future use.

  • Copy & Paste Workouts - Copy a workout and paste it into other days (Shift key for multiple pastes).

  • Drag & Drop Workouts - Reorder workouts by dragging and dropping them within the views.

  • Remove Workouts - Delete workouts from a selected day.


Important notes

  • Users can freely switch between Week-by-Week and Day-by-Day Views.

  • Switching from Custom View to Week-by-Week or Day-by-Day View is permanent; users cannot revert to Custom View. To access Custom View again, users must reselect workouts and reopen the Master Planner. A confirmation pop-up will appear before switching.


Level in a workout view

  • You can see workout names, sections, and exercises within a workout in this Master Planner view.


Common actions across views

Checkbox Settings

  • Show Rest Time – Checkbox to display/hide rest times for exercises.

  • Scroll Together – Enable synchronized scrolling across all days for easy comparison.

  • Hide Empty Days – Hide/show days without workouts (not available in Custom View).

Section-Level Actions

  • Customize Section – Change section format (Regular, Interval, AMRAP, Timed).

  • Duplicate Section – Duplicate a section within the same workout.

  • Save to Library – Save a section for future use.

  • Move Up/Down – Change section order within a workout.

  • Remove Section – Delete a section from the workout.

Exercise-level actions

  • Add Exercises - Insert exercises into a workout or section.

  • View Exercise Details - See full information about the original exercise.

  • Customize Fields - Modify the tracking fields for a specific exercise.

  • Add Alternate Exercises - Assign alternative options for the main exercise.

  • Duplicate Exercise - Copy an exercise within the workout.

  • Move Exercise to Section - Move exercises to the section within a workout.

  • Remove Exercises - Delete selected exercises.

  • Edit Tracking Fields - Update exercise tracking fields in bulk.

  • Add Sets - Add additional sets to exercises.

  • Link/Unlink Supersets - Create or separate supersets.

Note: Users can click on an exercise to open it in the workout details modal.
