How to create your Apple Developer Account

Requirements

  • Apple ID with two-factor authentication turned on

  • An iOS device (for two-factor authentication)

  • A D-U-N-S® Number (verifies your organization’s identity and legal entity status)

  • Legal Entity Status

    • Your organization must be a legal entity so that it can enter into contracts with Apple. We do not accept DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches.

  • Legal Binding Authority

    • As the person enrolling your organization in the Apple Developer Program, you must have the legal authority to bind your organization to legal agreements. You must be the organization’s owner/founder, executive team member, senior project lead, or an employee with the legal authority granted to you by a senior employee.

  • A Website

    • Your organization’s website must be publicly available and the domain name must be associated with your organization.


Enrollment Process

Navigate to the end of the page and click on Start Your Enrollment

Step 2: Log in with your AppleID

Step 3: Two-step authentication

Enter the verification code sent to your Apple ID email address or Apple devices and click Continue.

Step 4: Enter your personal information

  • Click on Continue enrollment on the web.

  • Fill out your personal information as shown on your government-issued ID and address

  • Click Continue

Step 5: Select entity type

From the drop-down menu, select Company/Organization as your entity type.

Step 6: Enter your organization information

  • Legal Entity Name: the name of your business as it appears in the D-U-N-S lookup (Look up your D-U-N-S Number here)

  • D-U-N-S Number field: the nine-digit D-U-N-S number assigned to your business

  • Website: the URL of your business’s public website

  • Headquarters Phone: a phone number where Apple can reach you to confirm enrollment.

  • Tax ID/National ID: Optional

Step 7: Review and Confirm

  • Review and confirm all your information.

  • After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirmation from “Apple” with your Apple ID email address with a link enclosed to confirm and pay for your developer membership. The $99 (USD) membership is billed annually. Please enable auto-billing.
